    The wedding will be hosted at the Waldorf Astoria Cancun, a luxury beachfront resort in Mexico, located just 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport.

  • What is the best way to get to the resort? 

    The closest airport is Cancun International Airport (CUN). As your hosts, we’re delighted to take care of the shuttle transportation for everyone. We want you to relax and enjoy the celebration without any worries!

  • What are the passport and visa requirements for Mexico?

Passport:

  • A valid passport is required for all travelers.

  • It should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry (though some nationalities may have exceptions).

Visa Requirements:

  • Visa-Free Entry: Citizens of the U.S., Canada, EU, UK, Australia, and several other countries do not need a visa for stays of up to 180 days for tourism or business.

  • Tourist Card (FMM): Even if you don’t need a visa, you may be required to fill out an FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple), which is a tourist permit. This can be obtained online or at the airport.

  • Visa Required: Travelers from some countries must obtain a visa from a Mexican consulate before arrival.

  • Special Cases: If you have a valid U.S., Canada, Schengen, UK, or Japan visa, you may not need a separate Mexican visa, depending on your nationality.

  • Is there a special room rate for wedding guests?

  • When should I book my stay?

    We recommend booking as soon as possible to secure the best rates and ensure availability.

  • Can I extend my stay beyond the wedding dates?

    Absolutely! The resort offers a beautiful setting for a vacation. If you’d like to extend your stay, please inform us in advance so we can assist with preferred rates.

  • What is the requested attire/dress code?

    Suggested attire for each event can be found in the Events section on our website. While you’re absolutely welcome to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, we understand that some guests may wish to dress in traditional Indian attire for certain celebrations.

    Yes, there will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options available during the celebrations.

  • What is the weather like in Cancun?

    Cancun generally has warm, tropical weather. We recommend light, breathable clothing for the daytime and a light shawl or jacket for the evenings.

  • What currency is used in Mexico?

    The currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso (MXN), but USD is widely accepted at most tourist locations. Credit cards are also accepted at the resort.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

    While not required, we recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected delays, medical emergencies, or cancellations.
